chrissy and josh

Chrissy and Josh were married on a snowy day in early January at a rustic camp in western Pennsylvania. It was tough to compete with the beauty of the snow falling on the woods surrounding the chapel where they wed, but I gave it a shot with decorations that fit in with the beautifully simple winter setting.

Chrissy carried a hand-tied bouquet of hydrangea, sandy roses, peach spray roses, hypericum berries, pine cones, and pine. I love how the white hydrangea looked like snow with the flowers nestled into it and the pine cones and pine tied in perfectly with the rustic woodland surroundings.

The maid of honor and sister of the bride wore a blue dress and carried a similar bouquet with the addition of light blue delphinium.

The ceremony stage was decorated with cascades of pine and flowers and garland with white lights. The windows behind the bride and groom looked out into the snowy woods, creating the perfect winter wedding backdrop.

A focal point in the chapel was this lovely fireplace. Since it was not in working order, I filled it with pillar candles of varying heights to give off a romantic and warm glow.

In keeping with the simplicity of the surroundings, the reception tables were decorated with glass votive holders filled with river rock and candles, surrounded by pine cones and peach rose petals on a navy blue tablecloth.

becky and jason

Becky and Jason were married on a hot July day in Virginia. Becky gave me a run for my money as I tried to create a bouquet that would match and complement her ornate and colorful dress. I used roses in shades of pink, ivory and gold to pick up the soft colors of the embroidery on her dress, as well as lavender freesia and camellia foliage. I think it came out perfectly.

The bridal party carried bouquets of roses, each in a shade from the bride's bouquet.

The entryway of the reception hall was a large space, and this arrangement of hydrangea, roses, casablanca lilies, stock, berries, and eucalyptus made an appropriately grand statement as guests entered the reception.

This lovely arrangement adorned the head table, creating a perfect place to take pictures of the bride and groom.

The centerpieces were wreaths of mixed greens and berries with roses and light blue delphinium surrounding a tin lantern with a cream colored pillar candle. They went perfectly with the romantic feel of this beautiful wedding.

heather and bob

Heather and Bob were married on a beautiful July day at the Cranbury Inn in Cranbury, New Jersey. Heather has impeccable taste, and the flowers ended up beautifully reflecting the tone of their modern, romantic, and elegant wedding.

Heather's bouquet of roses, hydrangea, cymbidium orchids, rununculus, freesia, hypericum berries, stephanotis, and dusty miller complimented the muted cream and mocha of her dress, and mimicked the texture of its lace.

Bob wore a boutonniere of stephanotis and dusty miller.

The bridesmaids carried natural bouquets of roses, spray roses, hydrangea, waxflower, and hypericum berries.

The bride and groom were married under an arch I made of curly willow and decorated with lush sprays of hydrangea, orchids, roses, eucalyptus, and more. The ceremony was performed in the middle of the dance floor, with guests seated at their tables for an "in the round" effect. The arch created a gorgeous focal point for the ceremony.

The exposed beams of the ballroom were decorated with boxwood wreaths and satin bows.

Two floral topiaries marked the entrance to the aisle.

The bridal party entered for the ceremony from the balcony, descending these steps into the ballroom. The banisters were decorated with garland and beautiful cascades of flowers at the bottom. I also placed glass votive holders filled with river rock and a flickering candle on each step to create a romantic ambiance for the ceremony.

The place card table arrangement of calla lilies, hydrangea, and orchids was set in the middle of a wreath of fresh greens and flowers. The names and table assignments of each guest were written on leaves cut out of green paper and inserted into the wreath. This was the bride's idea (for which I think we have to credit Martha Stewart!), and it was really unique and beautiful.

The cake was decorated with clusters of spray roses, waxflower, and seeded eucalyptus.

I had to add a plug for the cutest flower baby ever...I can say that since she belongs to me! I loved making her delicate head wreath out of chiffon ribbon and clusters of waxflower.
